Who We Are
Story Therapy is a private speech-language practice that provides individualized pediatric speech-language therapy focused on empowering children and supporting families. We believe meaningful progress happens through connection, collaboration, and evidence-based care that helps children communicate with confidence and joy.
Who We Serve
We are a mobile practice, offering on-location services in schools, daycares, homes, and shared community spaces. Our service area covers St. Charles County, MO. We offer teletherapy services outside of our service area in Missouri and in Illinois.
What We Offer
Story Therapy specializes in providing speech, language, and literacy interventions for children ages 3 and up. We offer FREE screenings, evaluations, personalized treatment plans, and caregiver coaching — all tailored to your child's unique needs. We combine proven, evidence-based practices with your insight as the person who knows your child best.
Our holisitic approach seeks to understand exactly where speech or language weaknesses might be impacting your child and where you would like to see growth, so that therapy is relevant, meaningful, and fun - for everyone!

In-Person &
Teletherapy Services
Life looks different for every family, so we meet you where you are. We offer in-person sessions on location in St. Charles County, plus teletherapy for families across Missouri and Illinois.
School Partnerships
Progress doesn't stop with us. We offer school-wide screenings, teacher collaboration, and continuing education opportunities for educators and community leaders who support children long after their session ends.
Hi! I'm Darcy,s
owner and founder of Story Therapy. As an SLP, it's my greatest privilege to come alongside families and be a part of each child's story. My approach is rooted in intentional partnership, blending real connection with individualized, evidence-based care. My therapy is family-focused, play-based, and literacy-rich.
I graduated with my Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2014 from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Since then, I have served children and families across the country in schools and homes, both in person and virtually. Talking is my favorite thing to do (just ask my elementary school teachers), and now I get to help kids find and raise their voices, whatever that looks like for them. My favorite part of my work is seeing kids and parents identify challenges, meet them head on, and discover what they're capable of.
